I hope this message finds you and yours well and your prayer and fasting week has started strong!
I wanted to take a moment to give you an update on a number of things including Easter season at our church.
May I begin by reminding you that there is no gathering on Thursday as we gather for Good Friday service and Easter Sunday this weekend. Easter is one of the times unbelievers are most willing to attend. If we all invited just one person, imagine the amount of souls that could be saved on Resurrection Sunday! So plan ahead and invite someone from now to come along. However don’t be late as we celebrate our Risen King. Also, if you would like to bring a dish, snack, drinks or the like on Good Friday for the after service fellowship, please indicate so here.
In addition we are looking for testimonies to read out at church. Has God done something amazing for you that you want to give Him glory for? Well, whether anonymously or not we can read out your testimony if you share it here. Why not testify to God’s goodness in your life for others to be blessed?
In other news…We are still looking for befrienders to call a senior citizen once a week in partnership with Age UK in Lewisham. They told me that they have about 10 volunteers for the 30 or so requests they receive a week and are outstripped by the demand in comparison to the volunteers they have. As an outward facing church we want to solve needs in our community by being the light. One of those ways is by speaking to someone who may be lonely and have no other point of contact. I am sure if roles were reversed, we would like to hear from someone. So think about what a call for 20-30 mins a week could do in the life of another. To give back to our community click here.
